Standard Proof is a cocktail bar and tasting room on Rep. John Lewis Way, a block off Printers Alley, with our own whiskey behind the bar. Book it for a cocktail hour, part of a day or the whole day, and add a private cocktail class, a tasting or custom bottles.
The room holds 120 standing and 75 seated. Groups book it for company events and client entertaining, holiday parties, birthdays, welcome parties and conference groups. Rates move with the day, the time and the headcount.
Exposed brick, 20-foot ceilings, a motorcycle parked by the bar, and the whole room to yourselves.
Private cocktail hour, up to 3 hours
The room for your group before dinner, after it, or between meetings. Standard Proof whiskey cocktails and beer at the bar, with a tasting or a welcome cocktail if you want one.
Partial day, up to 6 hours
Enough time for a daytime meeting followed by cocktails, or food, drinks and a class in one booking. Bar service is dedicated to your group, and we can coordinate catering.
Full day, up to 12 hours
The venue is yours for the day, with time to load in and set up. It suits meetings that turn into receptions, holiday parties, brand gatherings and larger celebrations. Dedicated bar service, with catering coordination available.
Private cocktail class, 90 minutes
An instructor takes your group through a tasting of seven Standard Proof whiskeys and four cocktails, shaken and stirred, and each guest makes two. It works as an event on its own or inside any booking above. Some of our cocktails contain nuts and dairy, so tell us about allergies ahead of time. A guided whiskey tasting, a cocktail class or workshop, a welcome cocktail, drink tickets or a hosted bar, catering, custom bottles, and a photo booth we can brand for your group.
Behind the bar: our whiskey, cocktails made from it, and beer. No wine. There’s no kitchen, so food comes from Crave or Puckett’s; we can arrange it, or you can book them direct.
