Introduce Dad to something other than the go-to Old Fashioneds and whiskey and cokes. The Blackberry Bourbon Smash is crafted with hand-muddled blackberries, premium bourbon, and a dash of citrus—an elevated twist on a Southern classic.
• 3-5 whole fresh blackberries (plus extra for garnish)
• 0.5 oz Barsmith simple syrup
• 2 oz Standard Proof straight bourbon
• 0.5 oz Barsmith lime juice
Add the blackberries and simple syrup to an empty cocktail shaker and muddle with a cocktail muddler or wooden spoon. Add the bourbon, lime juice and ice cubes. Shake until well chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass filled with ice. Garnish with blackberries and a Barsmith dehydrated lime wheel.
