About The Tasting Room
Standard Proof is a distillery and cocktail bar at 219 Rep. John Lewis Way N, a block off Printers Alley and a few minutes’ walk from Broadway. The room is a late-1890s corset factory: exposed brick, twenty-foot ceilings, barrels along the walls and a motorcycle parked inside.
Behind the bar are our own naturally infused rye whiskeys and straight rye, cocktails built with them, and beer. Order a tasting flight and try them side by side, or ask a bartender where to start. There is unplugged live music, happy hour Monday to Friday from 4 to 7, and cocktail classes every day. On the first Saturday of the month the street closes for the Art Crawl and we stay open through it.

Monday through Friday, 4 to 7. The whiskey flight is $17 instead of $27: a half-ounce pour of all eight, including the straight rye, the bourbon and the six infusions. Take $10 off a bottle when you buy a flight.
Ninety minutes, $60 a person, every day. An instructor works through the basics with the group, and everyone makes their own drinks. Good for bachelor & bachelorette parties, corporate groups, and a night out with friends. Our cocktails use nuts and dairy, so tell us ahead of time and we will work around it.

The room holds 120 standing and 75 seated. Corporate nights and team building, bachelorette and bachelor parties, birthdays, or the whole place to yourself. Our own whiskey and beer behind the bar; food comes in, and we work with Crave and Puckett’s.

Art Crawl
On the first Saturday of every month, Rep. John Lewis Way N shuts the street down to host the well-known "First Saturday Art Crawl" from 6-9 PM. The night is full of art and local music. Stop into Standard Proof to grab a drink in between checking out the exhibits hosted by our neighbor art galleries.
